Input Techniques on Mobile Devices
Thanks to technology advancements and to the increased performance of modern mobile devices (such as PDAs and cell phones), users have the opportunity to access a great deal of services and information, anytime anywhere. This project studies and evaluates both traditional and innovative input techniques to allow a more rapid, simple and intuitive interaction with mobile devices and the services they offer. The proposed techniques take into consideration both the limitations of mobile devices' screen, which have reduced size and lower resolution with respect to normal PC displays, and the need to access great amounts of data through such screens.
