Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory (HCI Lab)
The Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory was founded in 1998 at the Department of Math and Computer Science of the University of Udine. It focuses on new interaction paradigms to be used with emerging technologies, such as Mobile Devices and Services, Web3D, Virtual Reality, and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work. Besides doing research, the Lab develops applications in domains such as Medicine, Tourism, Training, and the Web.

Emergency Medical Services Center (118), Udine Hospital
and Regional Helicopter Emergency Medical Services
This center is part of the italian Public Health System. The structure has a specific functional organization for helicopter as well as ambulance truck activities throughout the region. The center manages dispatch activities in response to emergency calls, evaluation and classification of events reported, care provision and the coordination of resources, doctors, nurses, volunteers, and drivers in emergency events.

The "Gervasutta" Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Udine
The "Gervasutta" Rehabilitation Institute provides comprehensive medical and therapy services to individuals with disabilities in order to maximize function and overall quality of life and offers therapeutic intervention for a wide variety of injuries, illnesses and medical conditions including:
- Orthopedic
- Neurologic
- Physical disabilities
- Communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.

Council of the Disabled for the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region
The Council of the Disabled works for equal opportunities and the empowerment of people with disabilities to actively promote the total integration and participation of persons with disabilities into all areas of economic, political, and community life and to address, monitor, and evaluate regional policies, practices, and procedures which immediately or remotely impact upon persons with disabilities. Its current activities include the following:

- Assistance Activities
- Community living for children with disabilities
- Employment
